I created a large-scale 3D-printed zoetrope installation for Coca-Cola, combining 3D animation, physical fabrication and traditional animation principles to create a looping animated experience in the real world.
I was involved in developing the animation specifically for the zoetrope format, translating the movement into a sequence of individual 3D-printed physical frames and helping ensure the animation worked correctly once viewed in motion. The project brought together digital animation and physical production on a much larger scale than a traditional screen-based piece.
The finished zoetrope became a permanent installation at Efteling, the largest theme park in the Netherlands, where it continues to be exhibited as part of the Coca-Cola installation.
